Frequently asked questionsFifteen questions people actually ask
These are taken from real phone calls and emails, in roughly the order they come up. If yours is not here, call the studio on (216) 767-5400 — a person answers.
Do I need to be fit or flexible to join a class?
No. Classes are capped at eight people and every movement is offered with two modifications, including chair-based versions. Most people arrive stiff, sceptical and out of practice — that is the normal starting point here, not the exception.
Is wellness coaching the same as medical treatment?
No. We provide educational coaching and wellness classes. We do not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, we do not order or interpret lab tests, and we will not advise you to change a prescribed medication. When something belongs with a physician we say so directly. Please read our medical disclaimer.
What happens on the free intro call?
Twenty minutes on the phone with Jared. You describe what is going on, he asks a handful of questions, and then he tells you honestly whether the studio can help or whether a physician, dietitian or therapist is the better first call. There is no obligation and no card details taken.
How much does it cost to start?
A single one-to-one session is $85 and follow-ups are $70. Movement classes are $18 drop-in or $150 for ten. Workshops are $60 per seat, and the twelve-week programme is $690 with instalments available. Everything is listed on the services page.
Do you take insurance?
Wellness coaching is not covered by health insurance and we do not submit claims. Some employer wellness stipends, HSAs and FSAs do reimburse coaching — ask your plan administrator and we will provide an itemised receipt.
Can I work with you remotely?
Yes. One-to-one coaching works well over video, and we have clients in Athens, Parkersburg and Zanesville who come to the studio only occasionally. Movement classes and tea workshops are in person only, because the point of both is the room.
What is your cancellation policy?
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before your appointment. Within 24 hours, 50% of the fee applies. No-shows are charged in full. Life happens — if something genuinely unavoidable comes up, call us and we will sort it out.
How long do people usually work with you?
Most clients do three to four months, then return seasonally for a check-in. A few stay monthly for years. We do not sell renewals and nobody here earns a bonus for keeping you on the books.
Do you sell supplements, powders or tests?
No. We stock nothing beyond the labelled starter tea tin included in the workshop, we take no affiliate commission, and we have no financial relationship with any supplement brand. If a supplement question comes up, it goes to your pharmacist.
What should I bring to my first session?
Yourself and, if you have them, a rough note of what you ate and when you slept over the past three days. Nothing formal. If you take medication, bring the list or a photo of the labels so we know what falls outside our scope.
Is the studio accessible?
There is a level entrance from the sidewalk on 5th Street, an accessible restroom, and chair-based options in every class. Full details, including what we are still improving, are on our accessibility page.
Where can I park?
There is free two-hour street parking on 5th Street and the adjacent block, and it is unrestricted after 5pm and on Sundays. The municipal lot two blocks toward the river is the easiest option on farmers market mornings.
What does the studio name mean?
Zdrave i schtastie is Bulgarian for "health and happiness" — a family toast from Jared's wife's side, said over dinner. It seemed like a better promise to put over the door than anything we could have invented.
Do you work with teenagers or children?
We coach adults aged 18 and over. For 16 and 17-year-olds we require a parent or guardian present for the whole session and written consent. Below 16 we refer to a paediatric provider instead.
How do you handle my personal information?
We collect only what we need to run your sessions, keep coaching notes in a locked cabinet and an encrypted file, never sell data, and delete records on request. The detail is in our privacy policy.
Still unsure whether this is for you?
That is exactly what the free twenty-minute call is for. If the answer is no, we will tell you so and point you somewhere better.
